Drukpath is one of the most popular treks in the country. It passes through a gorgeous natural landscape of blue pine forests, high ridges and pristine lakes while at the same time offering the opportunity to visit some ancient lhakhangs, dzongs and villages. The Druk Path Trek is also a fairly easy to moderate hike to undertake as the distances between rest camps is fairly short. The trail takes you through forests of fir, blue pine and dwarf rhododendrons at altitudes ranging between 2400-4200 m. This trek also offers stunning views of Mt. Gangkar Puensum, one of the highest unscaled peak in the world. The best times to embark on the Druk Path Trek are between March – June or September – November.

The flight to Paro crosses the Himalayan Mountains, affording spectacular views of the awesome peaks, including the sacred Jomolhari and Jichu Drake peaks in Bhutan, after the completion of check in formalities in airport. Guide and driver will escort to hotel. Briefing. Depending on the time, the sightseeing includes - Local market, festival markets the display of textiles local and imported, games and food stalls. Overnight in hotel.

Taktsang the tiger nest monastery is the most iconic and sacred Buddhist site in the World. It is dramatically perched on sheer cliff face, about 900 m above the Paro valley. It is one of the most beautiful hiking trail for its pristine forest and views.
Hiking distance ( round trip) approximately 6kms/3.7miles. Time 5 to 6 hrs including guided tour in monastery.
After lunch, witness the festivals. There will be masked and folk dances, local people will be gathered in their finest cloths and jewelries. Enjoy the festival.
Overnight same hotel.
Early morning go to festival group to witness the Thongdrol ceremony - the giant religious banner, said to be biggest of its kind in Bhutan. It is the biggest attraction of tourists, local people from all over the country.
Back to hotel for breakfast and check out.
Start of the Druk Path Trek. Damchana to Jangchulhaka.

The start of the Drukpath Trek is at the last end of dirt road, gives way to our trail in the pine forests. The trail is uphill all the way till Jela Dzong, a temple built as a war fortress in the olden days, overlooking the Paro valley below.
Trail looks like the setting of Stephen Spielberg’s Jurassic Park. With ancient firs wrapped in Spanish moss, a dinosaur or a Bhutanese Yeti might actually surprise you around the bend. You may see yak herders around the campsite.
Distance: 12k. Walking time: 7hr. Camp site altitude: 3400m The trek today starts off with a climb, overlooking the rolling valleys below. Rhododendrons and other high altitude shrubs decorate the rocky trail which climbs up and down. The trail will take us through dwarf rhododendrons and junipers. We will also pass the lakes of Janatso and Simkotha. The view of the far ridge across the valley which you trekked will fill you with a sense of personal satisfaction and renew you with extra confidence in yourself. Tonight is going to be the coldest of all our camps.
Distance: 13km. Walking time: 7h. Camp altitude - 2900m. Pass to cross: Pumo La, 4220m. An hours’ climb from the camp will take us over the highest pass on this trek at 4100m. On a clear day we can see the Gangkhar Puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan. Descending from the pass over rocky steps, we will be greeted by the sight of Thimphu far below in the valley. From this point on, it’s all downhill. We will be passing through the temple and meditation center complex of Phajoding. Camp at 2900m.
After early breakfast, visit Monastic school who will be in prayer, we can sit in temple and get blessing. Trek down for 3-4 hrs to Motithang, Lunch will be serve in mid way before reaching Motithang, where you will be received by our driver, transfer to hotel. The hot shower and comfortable bed awaits you. We can celebrate the trek with chill famous red Panda beer or Druk 1100 beer. Evening stroll in capital city. Overnight in Hotel.
Full day sightseeing In Thimphu, Visit local market where people from remote corner of the country comes to sell their products, drive to Bhuddha point, lunch at local restaurant, and visit the following, Bhutan National Bank for currency exchange and then you can get an opportunity to purchase exquisite collector Bhutanese stamps. You can get your own postal stamps.Then to National Institute of Traditional Medicine, School of Arts, National Library, Nunnery and Sangay Gang for the best view of Thimphu town, Zoo of Takin, Bhutan’s national animal. Lunch will be in down town tourist cafeteria, the Handicrafts Emporium, which displays a wide range of the traditional handicrafts for which Bhutan is renowned. Overnight at same hotel.
Depending on your flight timing, drive to Paro for an hour. End Of Tour.
