Taktsang the tiger nest monastery is the most iconic and sacred Buddhist site in the World. It is dramatically perched on sheer cliff face, about 900 m above the Paro valley. It is one of the most beautiful hiking trail for its pristine forest and views.

The Thongdrol ( Large religious banner) ceremony starts from early morning at 5 am, in ceremonial procession by monks and civil servants. The banner is said to be oldest in that size in the country.
