Nimalung Tsechu is done on the 5th month of Bhutanese calendar from date 8th to 10th. Nimalung festival is performed in Nimalung Lhakhang which is located in Chumey in Bumthang. In Nimalung Tsechu the Thongdrol of Guru Rinpoche is put on display for the attendees and in addition to inspiring wonder is said to cleanse the sins of all those who look upon it. People celebrate Nimalung Tsechu like a new year celebration.
