Talo Tsechu

Talo Tsechu takes place in Talo monastery in Punakha Dzongkhag. It is held on the 8th to 10th day on the 2nd month of Bhutanese calendar. Talo Tsechu is famous for its mask dance and the Atsara (Clown) dances. A popular attraction, Zhungdra is performed by the local dance troupe and has a deep religious and historical significance.

People across the country come together to witness the masked and Atsara dances. Besides its religious significance, the festival also provides opportunity for villagers and families to come together and celebrate the special occasion.
