Chorten Kora is celebrated on the 2nd month of Bhutanese calendar from date 15th to 30th in Trashi Yangtse. Chorten Kora also known as Dakpa Kora is famous for its religious significance. Chhorten Kora is a notable stupa build to subdue a demon which used to live there. We can witness the oldest religious festival of Trashi Yangtse and remembering the lady from Tawang who was buried alive.
This festival is not only attended by the Bhutanese but also by the Dakpa people of the neighboring Tawang District of Arunachal Pradesh in India.
