Druk Wangyel Tsechu takes place every December 13th at the Druk Wangyel Lhakhang located at Dochula Pass under Thimphu Dzongkhag. It is a unique festival performed by the Royal Bhutan Army rather than monks or lay people. The monument of Dochula and Druk Wangyel Tsechu stand as a reminder to every Bhutanese as sacrifice and bravery of our leader and armies who protected our country in 2003. It is an important national event that brings together people from all parts of Bhutan to celebrate their culture, history, and identity.
