Gangtey Tsechu is celebrated on 13th to 15th of 8th month of Bhutanese calendar. It is celebrated in Gangtey goenpa monastery in Wangdue Phodrang dzongkhag. Gangtey Tsechu is 400 years old and the monks and local people of Phobjikha valley perform various kind of mask dances and folk dances. Attending the festival, we get the blessings for the spiritual wisdom and power. People from different places come to witness Gangtey Tsechu.
