Gasa Tsechu is held on 8th to 10th of 2nd month of Bhutanese calendar. Gasa Tsechu is the biggest festival in the small district of Gasa. The mask dances and folk dances are performed by the monks and laymen which has a deep meaning. Being the largest festival in northwest Bhutan, Gasa Tsechu lights up the entire community with a variety of indigenous dance performance that are unique and cannot be witnessed in any other part of the world.
People across the country, especially the highlander communities come together to celebrate Gasa Tsechu.
